So it is starting to warm up nicely! Thursday was rather blustery but still quite mild. The lochs were rather quiet, although the Mute Swans were busy feeding and squabbling over territories!
Lapwings were making a racket warding off crows and other predators from their nests. The young should be hatching anytime now!
Adders are out enjoying the warm sunshine, this female is looking rather chilled!
This warm weather is also bringing out the insects, including this hoverfly!
Some Greylag and Goldeneye Chicks are out on the Loch too!
The next day I set out to find a place for the trail camera to see what I could find. It was a warm, sunny morning and it was fine to get out into the heart of the Pinewoods!
Cracking views of Lochnagar and Mount Keen!
Trail camera is all set up let’s hope I get some nice videos. Also some Capercaillie poo by the looks of things, that could be interesting…
It is certainly nice having some warm weather, long may it last. Bring on the summer I say!
