When its the week before Christmas, I’m sure any land managers with woodlands will join me in thinking that two sets of gales in a week is the last thing you need! Part of the problem is the lack of light- by the time you get round to finding the fallen trees, there’s often not enough daylight to get back with all the kit and clear up. It took til the end of Tuesday to clear up the weekend’s tree casualties, then more came down on Wednesday night. It took a concerted effort from all concerned, including borrowed staff and volunteers, got the paths cleared before the holidays. Thanks, folks.
There will probably be more trees down when we get back but we’ll get onto them as soon as possible!
